# Image Generation Policy For Etsy + Printify

Frezer's preference: use OpenAI's best available image generation quality for product artwork and mockup-ready assets whenever possible.

## Current credential status

- `OPENAI_API_KEY` is present in `/root/.hermes/.env`.
- Do not expose or paste the key in chat.

## Practical workflow

1. Use OpenAI image generation for product artwork, design concepts, and hero mockup assets when image generation is needed.
2. Keep generated artwork commercially safe:
   - no copyrighted characters
   - no celebrity likenesses
   - no trademarked brand names/logos
   - no fake Bible translation claims
   - no deceptive medical/financial promises
3. For POD apparel, favor typography/vector-style designs that can be recreated cleanly at print resolution.
4. For Printify uploads, final files should be PNG, transparent background where appropriate, ideally 4500x5400 px for shirts or product-specific dimensions.
5. For Etsy listing images, create square/landscape mockups that clearly show the product and phrase.

## Note about Codex

Codex/OpenAI text models can help design prompts, write listing copy, and automate the workflow. Actual image generation uses the configured image-generation backend or direct OpenAI Images API credentials when available.
